Seconds From The Accident

Dramatic flashback scene! These are some of my paintings from my studio work in my late childhood / early teens. Make of them what you will.

And now for something more current:

These are part of a collection I did as coasters for a friends' wedding. Aside from being a pretty self-serving gift, they're pretty underwhelming considering I made them using roto techniques.

Finally, here are some short comics I've been trying my hand at lately. I'm finding it tough making the move from Flash to other programs better suited for illustration. I'd like to do a weekly update of these but I find it difficult finding individual inspiration for them.

How We Were, When We Were Real

This is an attempt at vector drawing in Illustrator. It's a self-portrait. I'm not pleased with it, but then I'm not pleased with my actual appearance, so I suppose that's sort of a plus.

We Call It An Accident Even Though You Meant It

So I tried my hand at creating digital landscapes. The result is somewhat underwhelming but I guess it's a good start. Sketchbook Pro has some really nice brushes but aside from that it's interface has little functionality. I had to add texture and colour balance effects in Photoshop.

...And All The Little Emptiness Of Love

Comic-book production is dramatically slow, so here's a splash page to act as an ellipsis for my terrible work ethic. The posture is all wrong on the right leg, but I'm trying not to let that get me down.
